The Commission for Niš City Awards invites all the relevant institutions and citizens to submit their proposals for 11th January award for the year 2009.

Home for the children without parental guidance Duško Radović will expand its services to become the shelter for the children living in the streets.

Niš City Assembly president Mr. Mile Ilić hosted the reception for the representatives of the Thessaloniki region and the representatives of business community from this part of Greece led by the president of Thessaloniki region Mr. Tulikassus Vasilious.

Niš remains a gas hub of this part of Serbia, a gas power plant will be built in Niš and there will be enough gas both for citizens and the entire region economy, said the manager of "Srbijagas" Dušan Bajatović at the meeting organized by President of Niš City Assembly Mile Ilić, with the Mayor Miloš Simonović and parliamentary parties' leaders.

From 4 to 6 March 2009, delegation of Niš City Assembly, led by the president of the City Assembly Mile Ilić, participated in work of the symposium held on Bled, SI, named "Serbia on the way to EU - Good practices of Slovenia".

Serbian National Parliament president, Mrs. Slavica Djukić Dejanović, visited the Niš City Parliament. She was received by the Niš City Parliament president Mr. Mile Ilić and by Niš City Parliament secretary and deputy secretary as well as by the representatives of Niš City Parliament member groups.
