Group of Francophone Ambassadors on Their First Visit to Niš

Niš City Mayor Dragana Sotirovski, together with her associates, met with the ambassadors and representatives of the embassies of the Francophone group of countries at Niš City Hall and talked about cooperation in the field of economy, tourism, education and culture. The participants agreed that the meeting was fruitful, rich in ideas and proposals for future cooperation connecting Niš and the cities of the Francophone group of countries. It was a very important meeting for Niš with concrete proposals on improving cooperation with Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Cambodia, DR Congo, Guinea and France, said Niš City Mayor. We are connected by history with Bizerte in Tunisia; we received an invitation to participate in the economic summit organized by Morocco, our fellow citizens will soon be able to see Moroccan films in Niš, the Mayor added. We want to bring back foreign students in even greater numbers to Niš for studies and improve student exchange with more geographically distant countries, Mayor Sotirovski pointed out. We plan to promote our tourist potentials, as well as cultural exchange, about which the participants in the meeting reached full agreement, said the Mayor. The Ambassador of Egypt Amr Aljowaily, the chairman of the group of Francophone ambassadors, thanked for the reception and assessed that the meeting was very successful.
