 Development of Centuries-Old Relations of the Serbian People on Both Sides of the Drina River

The cultural and spiritual space is indivisible and unique, as it was agreed by the delegations of the City of Niš, Republika Srpska and the City of Trebinje in a conversation in the City Hall and expressing their sincere intention to further develop and deepen the centuries-old relations of the Serbian people on both sides of the Drina. We heard their experiences that we could apply in Niš as well. Trebinje is the center of energy; it stimulates its agricultural producers in an original way and develops agriculture. It has 100,000 overnight stays and guests from 94 countries, said Niš City Mayor, Dragana Sotirovski, after the conversation which cordial and direct between those who understand each other well. We have made the first steps in cooperation with Trebinje, which we will further develop, the Niš Mayor pointed out.

Assistant Minister of Education and Culture of Republika Srpska, Tanja Djaković, said that better cooperation and mutual support will strengthen the unity. The Mayor of Trebinje Mirko Ćurić pointed out that this was a way to connect the two same peoples more and thanked the Mayor of Niš for choosing Trebinje as the city to establish closer links with. Two delegations visited the stand of Republika Srpska on the main city square in Niš within the event „Days of Republika Srpska in Serbia“. Tonight, the residents of Niš will be able to see the play of the National Theater of Republika Srpska „Strangers in the Night“, and all the income from the ticket sale will be used for humanitarian purposes.
