Niš City Mayor Dragana Sotirovski visited the works on the construction of the sewerage network in Danteova Street and the preparatory works on the asphalting of Žička Street in settlement of Donja Vrežina with her closest associates. Residents of Danteova Street have been waiting for the construction of the sewer for more than 30 years. During that time sewage poured into a nearby stream. The citizens reported the problem to the City Municipality Pantelej and its president Nataša Stanković and then to the City of Niš. Workers of PUC Naisus are in the field, the works have started. In order for Danteova Street to be asphalted, property and legal relations must first be resolved, where 10 owners have the right of ownership over the street itself, said Mayor Sotirovski. The length of the sewerage network is 200 meters, the work is at a greater depth and it is of a satisfactory diameter, said the director of PUC Naisus Goran Milosavljević. The residents of Žička Street have been treading on mud for 40 years.

During the tour of the works in Žička Street and the conversation with the citizens, an agreement was reached on the asphalting of Major Gavrilović Street, which will complete the ring of streets in that part of the settlement. The construction of the sewerage network in Danteova Street and the asphalting of Žička Street in the settlement of Donja Vrežina is a real example of successful cooperation between the citizens, the City of Niš and the City Municipality Pantelej. We will equally work on the construction of road and communal infrastructure in other city municipalities, stated the Mayor. The president of the City Municipality Pantelej Natasa Stanković emphasized the importance of building a sewerage network in Danteova Street. She expressed her satisfaction that the residents of Zicka Street would get asphalt after 40 years. According to her the City Municipality Pantelej will work together with the citizens to reach an agreement on property and legal relations in those streets in the settlement that have not been paved yet.
