Half a century of Branko Miljković Award was marked by the awarding the writer Vladimir Kopicl for the collection of poems „Distant Drums“. The award was presented by the member of Niš City Council Adriana Anastasov, who reminded of the time when this award was established in 1971, and ever since it has been continuously awarded for the best collection of poetry in the Serbian language in the previous year. The winners of the award are the names of the most important Serbian poets, and Branko Miljković Award represents, according to the general opinion, the most important award for poetry in the Serbian literary space, it was said at the award ceremony.
