PM Ana Brnabić Visited Archeological Site Medijana and Niška Banja Spa

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia Ana Brnabić visited Niš and Niška Banja with the Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Tatjana Matić, Niš City Mayor Dragana Sotirovski and with the management of City Municipality Niška Banja they talked about realized, started and new projects in that city municipality. The state has already given 15 million dinars for the renovation of the central park in Niška Banja and will continue to invest in order to complete the Kulište complex worth 40 million dinars, said Ana Brnabić. Assessing that spa tourism is awakening in Serbia, PM Brnabić said said that the Old Bath in Niška Banja, which had both cultural and monumental value, must be renovated. Mayor Sotirovski together with the City Municipality Niška Banja presented the project of building an aqua park that city would build from its own city funds, with the opening of the botanical garden and the need to connect Niška Banja better to the highway. Niš City Mayor especially pointed out the suitability of the terrain near Niška Banja for extreme sports, the interest of foreign guests and the state of accommodation capacities in the spa. Minister Matić expressed optimism regarding the number of visits to Niška Banja and Niš, which could reach the record from 2019 this year.

Prime Minister and the representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Information, Mayor Dragana Sotirovski and the member of Niš City Council Adrana Anastasov visited the Medijana Archaeological Park. Prime Minister Brnabić was interested in what else was needed for the archeological site to be open to visitors this year, expressing the great importance of Medijana, which places Serbia on the world map of cultural and historical heritage. We will invest the necessary money that is needed for Medijana to be open to visitors, Prime Minister Brnabić said, expressing satisfaction, making sure that the research at that archeological site continues.
