Niš Deputy Mayor Dušica Davidović and the President of the City Municipality Crveni Krst Miroslav Milutinović presented New Year’s Gifts to children on the occasion of celebrating New Year’s Eve according to the Julian calendar.  About 400 children in 9 villages of the City Municipality Crveni Krst received holiday gifts. The City of Niš provided gifts for children in all five city municipalities that were distributed in the previous days. Children in the city and in the villages of Niš were equally gifted, said Deputy Mayor Davidović. President of the City Municipality Crveni Krst Miroslav Milutinović thanked the City of Niš and the Mayor Dragana Sotirovski for the gifts for children. According to him, it is very important to preserve tradition and spirituality and to pass it on to the youngest. The meeting with the parents of the children was an opportunity to hear their suggestions on improving the living conditions in the countryside and in the suburbs.
