The bowling alley in the Sports Center Čair has been reconstructed, which is only the first step towards creating conditions for the competition of Niš bowlers according to the highest standards and which will also be available to citizens who recreationally engage in that sport. Niš City Mayor Dragana Sotirovski visited the reconstructed bowling alley with her associates and talked with the management, the competitors of three Niš clubs and fans of that sport. We have finished the reconstruction of the bowling alley in the week when Serbia defended the title of world champion, bringing gold from Poland, which makes this event of ours special, Niš Mayor pointed out.
We continue to develop and reconstruct sports fields, Mayor Sotirovski pointed out and reminded that the reconstruction of the Table Tennis Home was recently completed. Fellow citizens, lovers of bowling, have been in the bowling alley since the early morning hours, including Miljojka Jovanović, who turned 80, the oldest active athlete who has been bowling for three and a half decades. “I will continue to train, this means a lot to me,” said the oldest and still active competitor, Miljojka Jovanović, who tried out new balls together with the Mayor. They were joined by Gale Kerber (Goran Šepa), who was the promoter of our bowlers at the World Cup in Poland, a great lover of the sport. Gale Kerber, who witnessed the triumph of Serbian bowlers in Poland, thanked the Mayor and the director of Sports Center Čair Branka Arandjelović for recognizing and understanding the problems of Niš bowling.
