Nisville Jazz Festival Lifetime Achievement Award Presented

Niš City Mayor Dragana Sotirovski presented to Jova Radovanović and the band “Sedmorica Mladih” the Nisville Jazz Festival Lifetime Achievement Award and hosted the reception with Member of Nis City Council Adriana Anastasov for actress Nada Blam, sister of the late Mišo Blam, after whom one street in the very center of the city is named. At the award ceremony, in the presence of friends of Jova Radovanović and the band “Sedmorica Mladih”, Niš City Mayor said that the band marked the time of many generations that it was entered in the Guinness Book of Records as the band that worked and played music for 33 years with the same members. The City of Niš and the organizer of the festival will start a big campaign in November to bring the world’s most famous jazz musicians to Niš next year and to provide enough sponsors for the full splendor of the Nisville Jazz Festival, which is a brand of Niš, Serbia and the wider region, said Mayor Sotirovski.

The award is a confirmation that you have done well and that you have been on the right track. The reward is also an obligation. I am sure we were on the right track. It is my obligation and the obligation of my friends to enjoy the award for as long as possible, said Jova Radovanović, thanking for the high recognition. Niš City Mayor Jova Radovanović, Nada Blam, the Member of Nis City Council Adriana Anastasov, the director of the festival Ivan Blagojević and friends visited the street named aftger Miša Blam. Niš is the first city to dedicate one street to Misha Blam, and Belgrade and Mladenovac followed.
