Dear fellow citizens,

I believe that, at the end of the old 2021 and the beginning of the New 2022, we have more reasons for optimism. The year 2021 is not the end and the New Year 2022 is not a new beginning, but only a continuation of what was started and a chance for progress, for a better life, for better Niš.

Over the past year we have learned a lot and gained new experiences. We will fix what was not good. The beginning, as symbolized by each New Year, is the opportunity to do good and right things in 2022.

We all together, despite the differences of opinion, are the creators of our lives, we are the creators of future days and future times, of decent Niš and a decent Serbia.

We rely on our own strength, on our own experience, on dedicated and everyday work, on examining the limits of our own possibilities.

I want you to want more for yourselves this year.  If we achieve more than we wanted before, we will always share with those who could not do more and better, who still face difficulties.

Dear Niš citizens,

Thanks to the big state and city projects that await us, we are on the threshold of a new chapter in the development of Niš as a Balkan crossroads. We are facing even bigger challenges in the New 2022 compared to the year we are saying goodbye to. That is why, I sincerely believe, better days are ahead of us than those left behind.
