I am happy to be in Niš, where I grew up and where I made many friends with whom I collaborated, said composer, arranger and pianist Kornelije Kovač at the City Hall, receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award for musical creativity presented to him by the member of Niš City Council Adriana Anastasov. Congratulating Kovač on the award Anastasov pointed out that generations and generations grew up with the music created by Kovač and that it was a great honor that he was with us, in the city where he was born. Artistic director Snežana Jovanović said that performers and musicians were looking forward to the evening of September 3, when compositions by Kornelije Kovač would be performed on the Summer Stage in Niš Fortress.Kovač’s compositions will be performed by Bisera Veletanlić, Sasa Vasić, Zoran Šandorov, Tanja Banjanin, Dušan Svilar, Goran Šepa Gale, Žarko Dančuo, Dejan Najdanović.
