Every year locals and tourists alike indulge in the local specialty, Burek, the universal and ubiquitous Balkan snack that simply has to be tried when you are in the region. This traditional event is held from August 19 to August 22 this year and the guests will be offered salty and sweet program of authentic Nis food specialty, as it was announced at the press conference in the City Hall. Niš City Council Member Adriana Anastasov said that August was the month of the festivals in Niš. She invited her fellow citizens to respect the prescribed epidemiological measures, and those who have not been vaccinated to do so. The days of burek in Niš are being held for the 18^th time this year, and due to the epidemiological situation, it is not international.
