Niš City Mayor Dragana Sotirovski and the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt Amr Aljowaily agreed that the Egyptian business delegation would visit Niš in the second half of July this year. It will be an opportunity to acquaint Egyptian businessmen with the conditions of investment and to discuss establishing regular direct flights from Niš to certain Egyptian cities, said Niš City Mayor after the meeting with the Ambassador of Egypt. She announced the possibility of signing a Letter of Intent on cooperation between Niš and Sharm el-Sheikh in the near future. Tourism is a branch that connects us; the Egyptians love our spas, and we have something to offer them in that area, said Mayor Sotirovski. Ambassador Amr Aljowaily said that the intention was to transfer excellent bilateral relations to local communities and cooperation between Niš with Egyptian cities such as Sharm el-Sheikh, a city that is not only a tourist destination, but a center of multicultural cooperation with international headquarters. He mentioned that Egypt was known for its successful management of its cultural and historical heritage, and that its experiences could help promote a unique monument such as Mediana. The Ambassador presented the “key to life” to Niš City Mayor as a symbol of friendship and connection between the two countries, and between the City of Niš and Egyptian cities.
