Serbian national airline Air Serbia has established direct flights between Niš and Istanbul. The Air Serbia plane at the Constantine the Great Airport was greeted with a water gate ceremony before the first flight. Air Serbia will fly to Istanbul on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The establishment of a direct line will contribute to the strengthening of commercial ties and tourist activities of southern Serbia with Turkey. The connection between Niš and Istanbul was the topic of many talks between the leadership of the City of Niš and the representatives of the national company, representatives of the Turkish Embassy and Turkish investors in Serbia.
