The Member of Niš City Council Adriana Anastasov opened the Days of Tourism in Niš, which are held under the slogan I Choose with My Heart, I Choose Niš, an event attended by exhibitors from all over Serbia, as well as guests from Macedonia and Bulgaria. The organizer of the event is the Tourist Organization of Niš under the auspices of the City of Niš.

Tourism is a priority for the City of Niš, said Anastasov, welcoming the representatives of the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, the Tourist Organization of Serbia, the representatives of tourist organizations of cities and municipalities from Serbia, guests from abroad and citizens. She said that Niš preserved the continuity of cultural and tourism events, respecting the prescribed epidemiological measures. Acting director of the Niš Tourism Organization Dragana Petković expressed hope that the guests would see for themselves that Niš touristic offer was authentic and that Niš hospitality was genuine. She announced a conference to discuss the formation of a tourist region of Southeast Serbia and new models of work in the field of tourism in order to overcome the effects of the pandemic crisis in the shortest possible time.

Niš is an increasingly interesting destination for foreign guests according to statistics as it was pointed out by the state secretary in the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, Žikica Nestorović. The tourism industry has shown great vitality and flexibility during the crisis, and the number of domestic and foreign guests this year indicates its recovery, said the assistant director of the Tourist Organization of Serbia Vesna Raca Radisavljević. The hosts and guests visited the stands of tourist organizations in the park in front of the City Hall, where the manifestation was opened this year and where it is being held in compliance with epidemiological measures.
