Memorial service and the laying of wreaths at the Serbian Military Cemetery and the cemetery of Commonwealth soldiers in Niš marked November 11 – Armistice Day in the First World War. The wreath was laid on behalf of the City of Niš by the President of the City Assembly Boban Džunić and Niš Deputy Mayor Dušica Davidović, as well as the delegations of the Serbian Army, Nišava Administrative District, Niš Police Administration, city municipalities, descendants and representatives of associations that nurture liberation war traditions. The President of Niš City Assembly Džunić said that this was the 103rd anniversary of the memory of the truth, of the courage and sacrifice of Serbian patriots in the Great War. The military cemetery was founded during the Balkan wars, and the burial continued during the two world wars. Soldiers and members of the British medical mission were buried in the Commonwealth cemetery.
