The State Secretary of the Ministry of Environmental Protection Ms. Ivana Hadži Stošić and the Niš Deputy Mayor Dušica Davidović signed an agreement by which the Public Utility Company Mediana was awarded equipment for storage and recycling of waste. The Member of Niš City Council Miroslav Djokić attended the signing of the contract. The equipment was provided by the Ministry of Environmental Protection after the public call and the selection of projects applied by local governments. PUC Mediana received 120 containers and 131 bins for municipal waste disposal. The equipment will be distributed according to a pre-determined plan on the territory of Niš.

Ivana Hadži Stošić announced the continuation of cooperation and noted that a total of 34 cities and municipalities in Serbia received equipment for waste storage and recycling. The equipment will be distributed in the city, but also in the area of Nis villages, said Deputy Mayor Davidović, thanking the Ministry for the delivered equipment. Acting director of PUC Mediana Ivan Mihajlović reminded that the Ministry of Environmental Protection had helped before and that thanks to their help a recycling center was created in that company.
