The City of Niš is ready to become the seat of the National Gymnastics Center, which would be built with the help of the International Gymnastics Federation, as it said in the conversation between the Deputy Mayor Dušica Davidović, the Chief City Planner Tanja Obradović and the Member of Niš City Council Aleksandar Stojičić with the President of the International Gymnastics Federation Watanabe Morinari and the President of the Gymnastics Federation of Serbia Prof. Dr. Sasa Veličković. The Gymnastics Association of Serbia is interested in building the National Gymnastics Center in Niš. Explaining the initiative, why it is good to be in Niš, Veličković stated that gymnastics in Niš had a long tradition, notable results, professional staff and a favorable strategic position that would contribute to the development of gymnastics in this part of the Balkans. Dušica Davidović said that Niš gladly accepted the initiative and proposal for such a project. The conversation focused on a possible location where the National Gymnastics Center would be built, which Morinari visited with the hosts.
