Niš City Mayor Dragana Sotirovski handed over the contracts to the citizens who competed for non-refundable funds for the purchase of heating devices using pellets, gas and connection to the district heating pipeline. These are the first contracts that were handed over to those who met all the criteria for non-refundable funds which are allocated through public call for co-financing measures to reduce air pollution originating from individual fireplaces in 2021 in Niš.  A total of 67 households will no longer use environmentally non-friendly fuels for heating. The funds were provided by the Ministry of Environmental Protection in the amount of 12 million dinars and the City of Niš allocated 5.6 million dinars. Soon there will be another public call.
