The furniture for children’s playgrounds was set up in all city municipalities and at the beginning of next year, the purchase of five more large street furniture sets and their regular maintenance by PUC Mediana is planned. Niš City Mayor Dragana Sotirovski, the member of Niš City Council Miroslav Djokić and the acting director of PUC Mediana Ivan Mihajlović visited one of the installed sets in the park of St. Sava in the central city municipality Mediana. New street furniture and renovation of the existing ones give a different picture to all the parks where our fellow citizens like to spend their time with their children. We are thinking about introducing park wardens or park guards. In the park of St. Sava, we renovated the benches, the fountain, and the bridge. I appeal to my fellow citizens to take care of our parks. Next year, we will reconstruct the park near the City Court and Čair. Miroslav Djokić mentioned that the planned funds in the budget for 2022 for street furniture were multiplied and that PUC Mediana would take over the regular maintenance of furniture. PUC Mediana currently maintains 280 children’s playgrounds on the territory of the City of Niš, said Ivan Mihajlović.
