City of Niš will preside over the Club of Cities and Municipalities with a favorable business climate (BFC) and Niš City Mayor Dragana Sotirovski was elected the first president of the Club. Addressing the representatives of more than 20 cities and municipalities Mayor Sotirovski thanked for the election and the trust and stated that the focus of the Club’s activities would be on creating better conditions for economic development in Serbia, as well as that the BFC certificate connects Serbian cities and municipalities with cities and municipalities in the Western Balkans and Southeast Europe. Gathered in the Club, with the support of NALED, we will have the opportunity to influence the current reform processes of importance for local self-government and create new opportunities for project financing through meetings and talks with potential donors, said Mayor Sotirovski presenting the Club’s program. More than 20 cities and municipalities have international BFC certificate, and 7 more are in the process of obtaining it.
