On the occasion of Saint Sava’s Day Niš City Mayor Dragana Sotirovski, together with the member of Niš City Council Marija Randjelović visited schools in Bubanj Selo, Čokot and the settlement of Deveti Maj and brought gifts to children of the youngest age. The visit was an opportunity to talk to parents, teachers and school management and get acquainted with the problems that need to be solved, said Mayor Sotirovski. Solutions are found in the best way in the field and in direct communication, the Mayor pointed out. We received a decision from the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development confirming that the conditions for the work of the preparatory preschool group in Bubanj Selo have been met, said Marija Randjelovic. Elementary school Desanka Maksimović in Čokot is the school with the most outpost classes, there are eight in total, and it will be in the center of our attention in 2022 when it comes to receiving the assistance from City of Niš. A total of nine facilities for the school and 8 outpost classes require good organization and an assistance plan, she noted. The goal is for children in rural areas and suburbs to have the same conditions for work and study as children in the city, said Marija Randjelović, who as a member of the City Council is responsible for education.
