The equipping the Sports Hall Čair and turning it into a temporary COVID hospital is an expression of the city’s readiness for the third wave of the epidemic, said Niš City Mayor and the member of the Republic Team for Controlling Infectious Disease COVID-19 Dragana Sotirovski during a tour of the hall. Patients with less severe disease symptoms will be taken care of in the temporary hospital, and the medical team will determine when the admission of the first patients would begin. Sports Hall Čair was inspected by the member of the Republic Team for Controlling Infectious Disease COVID-19 Prof Branislav Tiodorović, MD, the deputy director of Niš Clinical Center prof Vladan Ćosić, MD, the coordinator of the temporary COVID hospital and assistant director of Niš Clinical Center Vladan Ćosić and Prof Žarko Ranković. The temporary COVID hospital will have 196 beds for patients who require medical supervision and all the necessary medical equipment for uninterrupted work. The hall will be heated.
