Innovative technologies are the area with which the market is being conquered in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), it was said in the conversation between Niš City Mayor Dragana Sotirovski, and Marko Selaković, who heads the office of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce based in Dubai. The conversation was attended by the President of the Regional Chamber of Commerce Aleksandar Milićević, the President of the City Municipality of Pantelej Nataša Stanković, and the Head of the Office for Local Economic Development and Projects Dušan Radivojević. Mayor Sotirovski presented to Selaković the city’s plans for development, and especially pointed out the great possibilities of cooperation between the newly opened Science and Technology Park in Niš and similar ones in the Emirates. The field of information technologies is interesting and UAE has recognized Serbia as a partner in the IT sector, Selakovic said. Selaković said that in the Emirates they are interested in our agricultural products and that we ourselves have to work harder on their branding so that these products would be recognizable to the buyer in that country. He reminded that there is an agreement with free zones in the Emirates and that domestic companies can use that advantage in their business in that part of the world.
