The Commission for the awards of the City of Niš has made a decision on the laureates of the most prestigious city recognition. The “January 11th” Award on the City Liberation Day will be presented to Mr. Novica S. Randjelovic, MA, professor, scientist, economic historian and publicist, Mr. Miloje Brankovic, prominent Niš businessman and honorary consul of the Republic of Hungary in Niš, and posthumously Mr. Sasa Seferovic, anesthetist of the Clinical Center in Niš, who died of the complications caused by corona-virus. The five-member Commission for Awards, chaired by the President of the City Assembly Boban Džunić and its members, Niš City Mayor Dragan Sotirovski, the representatives of the church, the army and the University of Niš, decided that the Award “11th January ” in the collective category will go to the City Health Care Center Niš and the music ensemble “Lutajuća Srca”. The most prestigious city award consists of a plaque, a statuette and a sum of money. This year 25 proposals for awards arrived, nine for collectives and 16 for individuals.
