The City of Niš Council appointed the acting heads of six new city administrations in accordance with the adopted decision of the City Assembly of Niš on the new organization and reform of the former unified city administration to be implemented starting from January 1, 2021. “I hope that the appointed acting heads, as well as the reform of the city administration, will fulfill the expectations of the citizens, investors and the City Council,” Mayor Dragana Sotirovski told reporters. She mentioned that the acting status can last for a maximum of two terms for three months. The City Council appointed Marina Janković, a law graduate, the acting Head of the City Administration for City Bodies and Civil Status, Nina Ilić, a graduate economist, the acting Head of the City Administration for Finance, Marina Živulović-Petrović, a civil engineer, the acting Head of the City Administration for Civil Engineering, Snežana Jovanović, a law graduate, the acting head of the City Administration for Communal Activities and Inspection Affairs, Katarina Mitrovski, a law graduate, the acting head of the City Administration for Social Affairs, and Ružica Djordjević, a law graduate, the acting head of the City Administration for Property and Sustainable Development. The appointed acting heads of administrations have many years of work experience in the administrative bodies of the City of Niš. The current head of the City Administration Ljubiša Janić will be, by the decision of the Mayor from January 1, 2021, the Assistant Mayor for cooperation with city municipalities and local communities.
