2011

• The delegation of Portuguese Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning led by the Minister Dulce Passaro visited the City of Niš. The delegation had a meeting with city authorities in Belgrade, Novi Sad and Niš. The MoU between the Portuguese and Serbian respective ministries is planned to be signed during this official visit and it will define the goals, areas and modalities of the future cooperation.
  Nis City representatives led by Nis City Mayor Miloš Simonović presented to Minister Passaro and her associates the potentials and the activities undertaken by the city in the field of water supply, waste wares treatment, communal waste management and urban planning as well as present cooperation with the Portuguese company Pargue Expo.

2010

• The City of Niš, thanks to the Embassy of Portugal, in mid 2010 commenced cooperation with the Parque Expo, renowned Portuguese state-owned company that deals with city planning, revitalization of space and other various projects based on territory, valorization of territory, optimum solutions of space organization. The representatives of Parque Expo and the City of Niš prepared three project proposals for further cooperation: celebration of 17th century since Edict of Milan signing; the revitalization and urban planning for the development of land properties on the location of former military barracks in the city settlement of Pantalej; urban revitalization of the vacated space after the location of railway from the city center.
