Having in mind the interests of the local community and the need to attract new investments with the objective of encouraging local economic development, the City of Niš decided to launch the public auction for the lease-holding of the unconstructed land and publicly owned construction sites at the locations of Skopljanska, Duvanište (three separate land slots), Industrial Zone Sever (two separate land slots) and Donje Medjurovo.

The public call was announced on February 12, 2010. The auction for the location in Donje Medjurovo is scheduled for April 6, 2010. The other five locations will be auctioned on March 19, 2010.

The Location in Skopljanska street is intended for the construction of object of general purpose such as: banks, post offices, hotels, cultural objects, shops, restaurants and residential buildings.

One location in the settlement of Duvanište is intended for the construction of residential object, while the other two locations are intended for the construction of the business premises.

The land located in the Industrial Zone Sever is intended for the construction of production facilities in accordance with the Regulation plan for the complex of small and medium sized enterprises.

The location Donje Medjurovo will be leased for the construction of storage and production service facilities with the mixed and limited usage.

The land slots will be leased for the period of 99 years.
