Mayor: Miloš Simonović, MSc in mechanical engineering

Born in 1973 in Nis. MSc in Mechanical Engineering. Employed at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Niš, on the position of the Assistant for special scientific field of automatic management and robotics.

Graduated and took Masters Degree at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Niš with the average mark 9.40 at basic studies and 10.00 at masters studies. He received the scholarship of the Fund for young talents of the Ministry for science of the Republic of Serbia.

The author of several scientific expert works and studies in the field of automatic management, information systems and working processes management.

The projector of different information systems and participator of several scientific research projects. Participated in the assessment of a greater number of public enterprises profit and in the development of a great number of business plans.

Attended and completed additional education programs in the field of financial engineering, energy efficiency, management and project management.

Member of the Democratic Party since 1993.

President of the Democratic Youth Club and vice-president of the Democratic Youth.

Member of the Board for protests of the University of Niš during the Students' protests '96/97.

Participant of all protests from 1992 to 2000.

Since October 2006 president of the Niš Democratic party City Board.

Democratic party Parliamentary Group leader at the City Assembly.

Member of the Parliament of the Republic of Serbia in two mandates and a member of the Republic Committee for industry, traffic and communication.

Fluent in English and Russian.

Married, father of a daughter.
