About us:
The Department carries out following activities:
- Implementation of the programme for the infrastructure maintenance of the public city and rural land, programme for city construction land development, programme of execution of city budget allocation in accordance with the city budget and city treasury guidelines;
- Preparation of the plans for the city budget allocation execution;
- Processing applications from city budget beneficiaries;
- Developing drafts of the normative regulations for the Mayor, other departments, City Council and City Assembly;
- Drafting contracts for communal services;
- Monitoring operations of the public utility companies on the behalf of the founder , i.e., the City of Niš: Public Enterprise Nis City Directorate for Land Development, Public Utility Company for Water Supply and Sewerage Naisus Niš, Public Utility Company City Heating Plant Niš, Public Utility Company Mediana Niš, Public Utility Company Gorica Niš, Public Utility Company Tržnica Niš, Public Utility Company “Unified Billing Service” Niš, Public Utility Company “Parking Service” Niš, Public Enterprise “Airport Niš” Niš.

Ongoing Activities:
- Drafting the ordinances under the jurisdiction of Niš City Assembly (Taxi Transport on Niš City Territory Ordinance; Ordinance to task the PUC Gorica Niš for communal services of designing and maintaining of the parks, green surfaces, cemeteries and funerals, maintenance of horizontal, vertical and light signalization, Ordinance on modifications and additions to the Founding Ordinance on PUC Mediana Niš, Ordinance on public transport on city transport line 34, Ordinance on organization, control and realization of ITC in passenger transport on Niš City territory, Ordinance on defining the fee for environment protection and promotion, Ordinance on launching the public call for the bids for communal services of periodical maintenance of the streets, roads and other traffic routes on Niš City territory, Ordinance on passenger transport in the city and city outskirts).
- Participation in drafting the founding documentation for the Nais Gas a. d. Niš;
- Analyses of the conditions for PPP models in the area of the public garages construction;
- Participation in the initiative for increasing the process of public transport.

The department provides the support in planning and implementation of the projects from the legal and financial perspective.
