The Administration is established with the responsibility of performing tasks in the fields of Niš City administration personnel issues, city administration office business operations and local community administration.
Department for personnel and general affairs
Department for Personnel deals with all matters related to Niš City administration personnel and to the appointed and elected city officials of Niš City, as well as related to human resources policies, governing employment, classification, compensation, paid and unpaid leave programs, separation and working conditions for employees and appointed and elected officials.

Department for city administration business operations
This department deals with certification of the copies of the original documents and signatures, reception and sending of the official mail and its distribution and with the document archives.

Department for citizen affairs
This department deals with the keeping of records of birth certificate data, marriage certificate data, death certificate data, and nationality certificate data and issuing of the above mentioned certificates. The department keeps record of the electoral body.

Department for affairs of the citizens from the municipalities of Priština, Podujevo, Glogovac, Obilić, Lipljan and Kosovo Polje
This department deals with the keeping of records of birth certificate data, marriage certificate data, death certificate data, and nationality certificate data and issuing of the above mentioned certificates for the citizens from the municipalities of Priština, Podujevo, Glogovac, Obilić, Lipljan and Kosovo Polje.

Department for local community administrations
This department deals with issues related to the citizen ownership rights, economy issues, communal and residential issues. The village local community administrations keep records of birth certificate data, marriage certificate data, death certificate data, and nationality certificate data and issue upon request from citizens the above mentioned certificates. They also receive the official request and mail from the citizens related to the city administration jurisdictions and respond correspondingly.

One Stop Counter
The department deals with the issuing of birth certificates, marriage certificates, death certificates nationality certificates, certificates for registration of SMEs, certificates on property nationalisation and other certificates for whose issuing the city is in charge of.
