2011

  • Kuban Cossack Choir performed at the reconstructed Sports Arena Čair. This performance was the gift from from Yugorozgaz on the occasion of celebrating 15th anniversary of the company.
  • First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dacic and Russian Minister for Emergency Situations Sergei Shoigu signed the documents on establishment of Regional Humanitarian Center for Emergency Response in Niš. These documents are the plan of joint action for the deployment of the Regional humanitarian centre in Nis and the Protocol on the transfer and use of Russian material resources for this centre.
  • International Festival of Creativity - Songs and Dances of World Nations was held in Niš. The festival was organized by Russian NGO - Agency for International Projects in Culture, Education and Sports with the support of Niš City and Children Cultural Educational and Recreational Center from Niš.
  • The Agreement on Socio-economic cooperation between the City of Niš and Serbian Oil Company NIS a.d. Novi Sad for year 2011 was signed. This is the second year in a row that this kind of agreement is signed. 10 million dinars will be allocated this year for supporting programmes and manifestations in Niš.
  • International forum of Russian language and literature was held on the occasion of celebrating 300 years since Mikhail Vasilyevich Lomonosov was born. The event was organized by non-profit organization "Agency for international projects in the area of culture, education and sport" (IPCES) from Moscow.

2010

  • Agreement on socio-economic cooperation between Niš and NIS a.d. Novi Sad.

2008 – 2009

  • Signed Protocol on cooperation between City of Niš and Oil Company "LUKOI-Beopetrol" AD from Belgrade
  • Cooperation of Niš City with Company for construction of gas line systems, transport and trade of natural gas "Yugorosgaz" A.D. Belgrade:
  • Concluded Agreement on joint activities in gasification of Niš City between Niš City and company "Yugorosgaz" A.D.
  • Signed Protocol Niš City and company "Yugorosgaz" A.D. about continuation of gasification and construction of distribution network. As soon as agreeable conditions are obtained, activities on establishment of joint venture for distribution of natural gas for consumers in Niš will be continued.

2007

  • Cooperation between Niš City and Russian Center for Science and Culture "Russian House" from Belgrade
    • On January 11th 2007, Ambassador of Russian Federation and Niš City Mayor signed joint statement about opening of Russian Center of Culture in Niš.
    • On June 19th 2007 an Agreement on cooperation between the City and Russian Center for Science and Culture in Belgrade was signed.  The Agreement defines opening of Russian Center of Culture in Niš.

2005 – 2006

  • Twinning of Niš City and Kursk City
  • In February 2005, the Mayor of Kursk made a proposal to Niš City for twinning and official cooperation. 
  • Niš City Assembly brought a Decision on accepting Agreement on Friendship and Cooperation between Niš City and Kursk City on March 29th 2005 and in May 2005 the Government of the Republic of Serbia gave its agreement to this Decision.
  • Agreement on Cooperation between Niš City and Kursk City was signed on September 24th 2006. The aim of this Agreement is strengthening and development of friendship and economic relations between the cities, cooperation in the area of industry, small and medium business, science, culture, tourism and other areas, with participation of economic subjects available on the territory of these two cities.
