2008
- Signed Memorandum on Cooperation with the Ministry of Work and Social Policy within the project "Support to Implementation of Strategy for Development of Social Care in Serbia". This Memorandum defines joint cooperation within the Project "Support to implementation of Strategy for Development of Social Care in Serbia" which is jointly financed by financed by the Department for International Development of Great Britain (DFID) and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway. The project deals with the improvement of local and inter-municipal (regional) services of social care through improved planning, improved financing and follow up of local services of social care. Ties program is being implemented in 24 municipalities.
2005
- A project called Young People-New Ideas, financed by Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was implemented. Other partners in the Project were United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Ministry of Work, Employment and Social Policy of the Republic of Serbia, NAR Consulting AS from Oslo, Norway, Faculty for Transport- Belgrade University and City of Niš. The project was aimed at promotion of participation of young people in development and implementation of socio-economic projects on Local level. The work was organized in groups and each group has its specific area of interest related to: plan for development of Nis Airport aimed at provision of valid data for Nis Airport Master Plan and analyze of airport potentials so that it could find its place in international air market as a middle sized regional airport; regional development of the City of Niš, aimed at provision of information and suggestion of secure solutions for different applications of geo-thermal energy in Niš region; development of tourism in Niš region with an aim to develop basis for a concrete touristic product of Niš region and to analyze possibilities for handling and accommodation of transit passengers and to a problem of employment.
- Within implementation of Strategy for Development of Small and Medium Enterprises and Entrepreneurship 2003-2008 and Plan of the Government of the Republic of Serbia for Support of Small and Medium Enterprises and Development of Entrepreneurship 2005 – 2007, a Project for Entrepreneurship, Training and Services in Niš was implemented and Business Incubator Center was established. The basis for implementation of this strategy was a project ENTRANCE program which represents a part of Memorandum of Understanding signed between Governments of Kingdom of Norway and Serbia. Ministry of Economy and Regional Development was a leading national partner and Norwegian organization SINTEF Technology and Society was a leading international partner.
2004
- Regional Center for Professional Development of Educators was established in Niš with a donation of Government of Kingdom of Norway.
2002
- The Government of Kingdom of Norway approved donation in the amount of 4,5 mil. DM for the first phase of Niš Airport reconstruction.
- Cooperation with Municipality Saltdal Commune was renewed by signing a Letter of Intent. The cooperation was initiated in 1986 and stopped because of wars and sanctions.
2000
- The Government of Kingdom of Norway provided 30 one-time scholarships for best students of University in Niš. in 2001, 46 students of Niš University received one-time scholarships. In 2004, The Government of Kingdom of Norway awarded 56 one-time scholarships.
- The Government of Kingdom of Norway provided assistance to "Pčelica" institution in the amount of 20.000DM by which inventory of this institution was partially renewed.
- The Government of Kingdom of Norway delivered assistance to the City of Niš in the amount of 80.000 DM. For this amount 156 containers fro Block Signal and 1000 waste bins from Građevinar were purchased.
