September 4, 1998. will be marked in Serbian history as the date when the first diplomatic mission outside Belgrade was opened.
The Consulate of the Hellenic Republic was officially opened by Mr Constantinos Zoras, General Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Greece, and Mr Zoran Živković, mayor of Niš.
The ceremony was attended by: Mr Radovan Matković, General Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Yugoslavia; Mr Panayotis Vlassopoulos, the Ambassador of Greece to Yugoslavia, Mr Dimitrios Verriotis, Consul, and many guests.
The Consulate acts in the territory of southern southeastern Serbia.
Different departments will be set up in the Consulate which will cover different fields of activities.
At the moment the Consulate officers can give you all the valid information on issuing visas to Greece. |
